Information we collect

post.tools collects account information such as your email address and basic profile details; content you choose to create, upload, or store, including projects, files, signatures, and settings; subscription and billing records; and limited operational, security, and usage events needed to run and protect the service. Stripe processes payment card details, and post.tools does not receive your complete card number.

How we use information

We use information to provide and authenticate the service, carry out features and actions you request, process subscriptions, communicate with you, respond to support requests, prevent abuse, diagnose errors, improve reliability and usability, and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell personal information.

Service providers and disclosure

We use service providers for hosting, authentication, databases, email delivery, file storage, monitoring, billing, and integrations. They receive only the information reasonably needed to perform those services for post.tools. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect users or the service, or as part of a business transfer subject to appropriate safeguards.

Google API data and direct Gmail installation

Direct Gmail installation is an optional, user-initiated feature and is separate from using Google to sign in. Only after you choose “Apply to Gmail,” Signature Manager requests the restricted gmail.settings.basic permission. It uses that permission only to list the Gmail send-as addresses available to your Google account and update the normal Gmail signature setting for the address you select. Signature Manager does not request or access your Gmail messages or email content.

Google issues a short-lived access token directly to your browser. The token, Gmail settings, and Gmail API responses remain in browser memory and travel directly between your browser and Google; no post.tools server receives, stores, or logs them. post.tools does not request a refresh token, retain offline access, or perform background Gmail updates. You must authorize again after the browser session ends or the token expires.

post.tools does not transfer Google user data to third parties or use it for advertising, analytics, credit decisions, AI model training, or human review. post.tools' use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Cookies and advertising measurement

Essential cookies and local storage keep sign-in, security, and preferences working. With your consent, optional Google Ads measurement may record which ad led you to post.tools and whether you signed up. Declining optional cookies denies advertising storage, personalization, and user-data signals; when the Google tag is configured, it may still send cookieless consent-mode pings for modeled measurement. Google API data and Gmail account information are never used for advertising or measurement. You can revisit your choice through the cookie notice on the public site.

Retention, security, and your choices

We retain account, tool, billing, and operational data only for as long as reasonably needed to provide the service, protect it, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations; backup copies age out through normal retention cycles. Google API data used for direct Gmail installation is not retained by post.tools. We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your account information by contacting support@post.tools. If an organization invited you, its administrator may also control content associated with that organization. You can revoke post.tools' Google access at any time from your Google Account permissions.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy as post.tools changes. We will update the date above and provide additional notice when a change materially affects how we use personal information or Google user data. Privacy questions can be sent to support@post.tools.
